Do what feels best. I shave using both hands with a straight, but can only comfortably shave using a DE with my dominant right hand. Figure that one out.

I did the same, never got a nick with the weak hand, only strong. I guess we are more careful with the Dom hand.

Once you get some experience, it is just so much easier.
Additionally, learning to use both hands for the same task is apparently good for your brain, because it has to grow new pathways for supporting existing tasks.
There is hope for me yet!!! My wife says I can use a few more "pathways" in my brain.

I honestly don't know how you guys shave with only your dominant hand. There are certain spots that I just can't reach with my Arnold Schwarzeneggar arms getting in the way.

I think it's worth it. How are you gonna shave if your dominant hand gets chopped off?? It's better to learn while you still have it.

I was having trouble getting the blood out of my T-shirt for a while there before switching hands.

Solution: Don't shave with your T-shirt!

There you go. But I can see a definite advantage to right handed shavers only as they can shave with the right and catch all falling razors with the left. The left hand wouldn't be useful for anything else anyway.

Try and catch a razor, and the left hand would soon be non existant! They'd be calling you stumpy or some such thing I'd reckon!

Ya know, I'm a complete lefty and never had a problem until all this was brought up,I can shoot with my weak hand but never even tried to shave righty,it just feels so unnatural,I'm gonna get cut but now I'll have to give it a try......

I am not trying to pick on Grizzley but this is an example of what I feel is the problem here. Have some confidence in yourself! If you think you are going to cut yourself, you are.

I am right handed and would probably only use that hand but for a long ago injury that makes it hard to go against the grain on the right side of my neck. My wrist doesn't want to bend that way. So most of the time I switch to the left hand for that area. Until a discussion like this comes along I wouldn't even think about it.

I am not saying to be reckless and or careless about your technique, but I believe you can do it and if you believe it also, YOU CAN.
