With no prep the razor will not travel smoothly over the face and it would be very easy to cut yourself. You can use just water and that works fine but dry? No way for me.

I get the feeling you'll never be satisfied until you try it yourself . I would strongly advise against it . I agree with thebigspendur , that it's a good way to cut yourself up .

I usually do some final touch up dry. The razor seems to get just a bit sharper against dry skin. Never cut myself once while doing it, although I certainly wouldn't recommend a complete shave without a good lather.

Thanked: 1371I have done it before just to see if I could. It resulted in a passable shave, but it was not very comfortable or very smooth.

Thanked: 0sounds like most of the posts think it would not be comfortable. I don't think I will try it till I get more comfortable with the razor maybe in a year or two? the things that go through the mind though.

dry shave with a SR
Why would you do that to yourself?
You can't like your face very much.

What you save on water, you'll lose on styptic and gauze...
