The more razors you have the more difficult this question is to answer. I guess if I had to pick the best of the best it would be the TI Pierre Thiers Limited Edition. The reason is a combination of factors which added together puts it in a class by itself. It gives an exceptional shave in both comfort and closeness, its perfectly balanced, its physically beautiful and it feels very natural in the hand, and it hones fairly easily and maintains its edge a long time.

Thanked: 346I would concur on the Pierre Thiers razor, mine is definitely my favorite razor for the reasons you mention. The Pierre Thiers is ergonomically wierd, but handles like a dream. And it takes a wonderful edge and holds it extremely well.
My 7/8 Friodur and 7/8 Heljestrand are both outstanding razors that I dearly love. But the Pierre Theirs was an eye-opener.Last edited by mparker762; 11-13-2006 at 04:27 AM.

Since I'm really still learning, my favorite razor is the last one to give me "the best shave of my life".

Probably my Thiers-Issard 7/8 Red Stamina.
Even if it didn't give me awesome shaves, I'd feel more or less obliged to
name it as my favourite, seeing as how I payed more for it than just about
all of my other razors combined.

That one is my favorite. For that reason as well as for the fact that is DOES give me awesome shaves.
Coming in at a close second at the moment is the Purpleheart 5/8 Krusius that I got from ToxIk. shaves like a beast, looks like a beauty.

Currently I can only shave with one of my three razors. One is being held hostage by my wife's parents until Christmas, and the 5/8 Bengal spike that Gary sent me is on its way to be honed. Until I get to try the both of them out I can not honestly comment......yet.
