All depends on your beard type, I guess. Mine takes 3 passes, every day...

A minimum of two passes each day. 3 is even better

I guess I could get by with a one pass shave, I am after all a Norwegian with blonde whiskers.
But nah, shaving is an important daily ritual in my life, and I enjoy doing it as good as I can.

If I am not testing blades

I can get a DFS with one multi-directional pass.. This means I damn well know my face and which direction the razor needs to be going to get close without irritation and only one pass...

I personally consider this the ultimate shave, as there is NO irritation at all the shave is smooth and close and lasts well into the night, it is also a huge waste of lather Muhahahaha....

I also do a one pass multi-directional shave. It took a few months to figure it out, and now i get a a very smooth shave with little effort, no discomfort, and in short time.

Not one pass BBS, just a good working shave in one pass. Some of them have not even been that good, specially right side with left hand.
