    Post some pictures of what comes out. Any ideas of what species would make the best box I know that coin collectors like mahogany because of low acid content I guess for razors won't matter that much ?

    Take a look at the series of videos posted by unseen on YouTube (undream22 - YouTube) where he takes you through the restoration of a straight razor start to finish. That will give you a ton of ideas on how to make a set of scales using power tools and a good bit of hand sanding.

    Do you guys do anything special to lower the humidity in those cases? Or is it OK as-is???
