Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I just went through every single page of this over the past couple days on my free time when I wasn't browsing other parts of the forum. This is a great thread of what not to do, and to most newbies, it might not be a great idea to look through if you haven't started SR yet. But me being me, if I don't spill blood once a day, I'm doing something wrong. Lol

You survived the first week without a cut, that's a good start.

Indeed. I've gotten to the point that: if the "cut" requires no further attention after my shave (which ends with a cold rinse & post shave balm), then it doesn't even count as a cut .
This is also coming from the same guy that considers himself lucky, and to have had "a good month", if I only slightly bang my shin at work. Commonly, I bloody my shin every few weeks. Which reminds me, I think I have a thread I need to update .Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

Thanked: 2I'd rather not keep trying... The biggest lesson I've learned from this thread is to run like hell from a falling razor. My two razors are less than 100 each, and I have no sentimental attachment, so I'd rather not have to have nerve clusters having to be put back together in my hand.

Thanked: 0Over a year of straight shaving with nothing more than a small nick or two... then this happened a few weeks ago. Caught my lower lip on a down stroke. Oops.
