I have one cut scar. Amazing how long they stay! Thankfully, these days, I must look at this thread to see a cut. Thanks for the memories! I hope to not join you again!

Thanked: 443Mike, is that a cut from a spike? Dr. Suess would want to know.

The doctor went out on a fine summer day,
to have himself shaved in an old-fashioned way.
In the chair he laid back, his face all a lather,
when his wife burst through the door saying "Stop! I would rather..."
"...that you please reconsider this obsession, this hobby
and now won't you join me out there in the lobby?"
She looked back at the barber, relief in her eyes
"He's an honest good man, and we all know he tries,
but his honing is dodgy and his stropping quite useless
and by cutting you Doc, he could render us Seussless!"
Seuss returned home, his chin rough and stubbly
as his wife poured them both celebratory bubbly.
As the champers was downed and another was poured
Dr. Seuss felt like one who'd escaped from the sword.
His mind it was racing, and he started to think,
of the points that had turned his lather to pink.
There were dreadnaughts and roundeds, with notches, without,
but the one that was worst, he hadn't a doubt,
the one that caused him the greatest of fears,
was the one that always nicked his two bloodied ears.
He knew they sliced him, like they cut all his brothers,
"But what" the Doc thought "about all the others?"
The thought of those points gave his voice quavers,
as he mused on the blood shed by his fellow wet shavers.
And so, Mr. Mike, the question remains,
was it really a spike that caused you such pains?
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Hey!! I loved the Suess'ism!! That was great.
Now, to answer the question!! No! It was not a spike that got me, but poor angles while using my Puma 'My Darling' 7/8 round tip. A poor placement and she went right in, first touch. Made me jump too, darn near cut myself again fighting the involuntary muscle twitch pain causes. hehehe.
