    The same spot, assuming it is not because you are just reopening an old wound, could indicate several things, but the main one would be technique. Try changing it up a little - for example, use your left hand instead of the right, or whatever.

    The other thing that might be happening is the old "fixate on the obstacle" issue they teach you about at driving or motorcycle schools. Sometimes fixating on an issue can be the very reason it occurs.

    But you are only 3 weeks in. There is plenty of time, so don't worry at it too much. Before you know it you'll be nicking yourself all over your face like the rest of us!

    It's hard to explain in words, Somebody mentioned a guillotine stroke earlier and I second that.

    You can still go ATG on that spot, but instead of attacking the hair at 90 degrees you could adjust your angle of attack and change to an heel or toe leading stroke. It just needs to be a 15 or 20 degree change, but the angle your blade is meeting your 'trouble spot' would be totally changed.
