I'd say after about 3 days (6 shaves) I was getting mild irritation around the upper lip area. This is possibly due to poor technique. This area tends to get a lot more attention, with many short repeating strokes to get the BBS feel. So, I gave it a rest and went back to once a day. It's good to know I could probably get away with it for a short period of time, but also appreciate that the face needs a little break from time to time. Thanks for your replies.

I think it's obvious that if it causes burn or irritation, it should be done with caution but intrinsically, shaving done properly, doesn't harm your skin.
One thing I did in the beginning was had a dummy razor that I dulled up and would practice shaving several times a day to develop the muscle memory, (they're actually neurologic pathways) and map out each stroke for all 3 passes.
