Default help with left handed shaving.

    howdo gents.

i was reading an interview in a magazine that explained doing something difficult like brushing your teeth with your left hand can help keep alzheimers at bay. since i am 22 i am not too worried about that yet but it dawned on me that beginners and any others that are a bit timid shaving with their left hand could practise this to help build muscle memory.

Well, I'm not timid at all about shaving with my left hand and as a matter of fact....oh...wait I'm left handed.

Really, if you want to develop facility with your off hand just use it more. Try writing with it that's the best way I know of.

Default help with left handed shaving.

I am a lefty too, odd how so many are wet shavers...

Anywho, best advice I can give is to split up your face between your hands. I do the two handed shave every time. At first it does require some focus. Just don't fear the blade. It is -your- hand after all... Strangely I sometimes get closer on the first pass with my right now. But I am still a southpaw, I swear!!!
It's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...

I use both hands to shave with, but I'm a lot older than you. Dang it! Now I forgot what the original question was.

I shave with both hands. it is so much faster for me. I think I can shave with a straight razor just as fast as someone with a mach 3.

I profess to be right-handed, but use both hands for shaving. I find it interesting though I seem to use my left hand for the more delicate passes. As for the OP, I would be interested in reading the article regarding use of one's non-dominate hand staving off Alzheimers' and how and if there is a study for those who may be ambidextrous. For instance, I play racquetball, tennis, and write right hand, I throw footballs, baseballs, golf, bat lefty, and kick with my left. Is Alzheimers' in my future? Any other ambi's out there?
