That's one of the things that pushed me over the "edge" too. When you have to track down someone to unlock the doggone display case to get to the disposable razor blades, something has gone terribly wrong.

It's been a while since my first shave, but I too went to the SR to the DE for a couple years and about 1 and 1/2 years ago I decided to commit to using the SR [practically] exclusively. And now, for a fact, I never cut myself. Nor do I nick myself. And actually, the only time I notice any unusual passes it is more so related to the occasional use of an odd-ball razor. When I stick to my two (which one is a "big Brother" to the other) Holzauers (the Red Raven 5/8 and the other is the Blue Steelin 6/8) life is invariably good to me.

Now that I have found that I like it I'll probably order another razor or two and start trying some different soaps.
We have a similar set up then mine has not arrived yet, but it should be here any day now. I got the Dovo Natural 5/8, and I also upgraded to the 3" red latigo strop. I chose to keep the unscented soap, let me know how you like the sandalwood.

The sandalwood is OK, not a real strong smell. I think I'll try some of other brands on SRD next.

Thanks I like sandalwood incense and I have used bars of sandalwood body soap before. My Razor and gear arrived today maybe I will have my first shave on Sunday.
