Hehehehe I am a Wet shaver, emphasis on the word WET...

I fill the sink and splish splash that razor in there, I have zero concern of how wet it gets, all the lather comes right off and I splash more water everywhere.. For me I get a much more comfortable shave when the edge is wet with hot water

I do take my time Cleaning and Drying the razor, and if I want to stay married I clean and dry the sink and counter top

I wipe my blade on a face cloth that I leave sitting on the edge of the sink.

I swirl it in the basin then wipe it off on a towel between each pass.

Rinse under running water, then turn off tap. If it's between passes I lay it gently on my stack of shaving towels which is next to the sink.

I wipe off the lather on a damp flannel at the side of the basin, and I swish the blade in the basin full of water and then dry it between passes. There's another flannel floating about in the basin to protect the razor from the sides of the sink.

I keep my hands, the scales, and the pivot area dry all through the shave.

I just give the blade a quick blast under hot water. Keeps the blade warm and wet, and no waving it around in the sink LOL. I have a flick mixer in my bathroom basin, so its easy to flick on and off. Then i wipe off any stuck on soap at the end with my towel that I'm wearing.

As a Newbie I truly haven't set a pattern of renewal, I have used wet, dry, and after reading these I will try the sponge too.. I have been leaning to dry removal more so, but that can change as I am still adjusting..

Sponge for me. I wring it so it's almost dry and clean it between passes. A moist towel would work as well but the sponge has the advantage that it sits up on the counter so no danger of whacking the blade on the counter or edge of the sink.
