Thanked: 0Blade Lather removal
Ok, I'm curious how the majority rinses off the accumulation of lather while making a pass. Personally, I use a slow trickle of hot water instead of swishing in a bowl or filled sink because I have a deadly fear of banging the edge on something. So what's your practice/solution?

Re: Blade Lather removal
I wipe my blade on a large circular natural sponge that I bought for a dollar.

Trickle hot water, then lightly dry over a towel so I don't get water spots on the blade as often.
I want to try a sponge that I saw someone do in a video, where they have a big soft round sponge, and they wipe the blade over that.

Re: Blade Lather removal
I also use a trickle of hot water (not too hot though as ive learnt my lesson and burnt my face!!!) and i use a cloth to remove anything that wont come off with just water.
If i use the cloth i rinse again under the water and then get back to work

Blade Lather removal
So far I have found that a sponge is the best way.

Thanked: 4942I have a white hand towel that is folded in quarters which I place at the rear of the bowl. I also run water while shaving. When shaving, I will rinse only the blade under the running water making sure not to get the scales wet to remove the lather and then dry the razor on the towel before the next shaving stroke.
Have fun

Rinse blade while shaving under warm water and gently wipe blade on small towel that hangs right next to my sink. And, of course never let the towel near the edge of the blade nor do I get water on the scales. : )

Thanked: 13247Hehehehe I am a Wet shaver, emphasis on the word WET...
I fill the sink and splish splash that razor in there, I have zero concern of how wet it gets, all the lather comes right off and I splash more water everywhere.. For me I get a much more comfortable shave when the edge is wet with hot water
I do take my time Cleaning and Drying the razor, and if I want to stay married I clean and dry the sink and counter top
