What also makes this great for me is that you can shave every day with a straight or a double edge razor and get a BBS shave.
There was no way that i could shave every day with those disposables before.
I had to shave every second or even third day.
If not i would have a rash bumps and irritation like crazy.
The only drawback that i would think someone would have is that it takes a little longer.
But the journey is *****AWESOOOMMMME*********HAVE A GREAT SHAVE*****

Thanked: 0True it takes a little longer but I'm enjoying every second of it...so it's just moore enjoyment for me
I've never actually shaven this much before, because of irritation, whiteheads and general discomfort. So for me it's like a whole new aspect of wellness...

My first BBS shave with a straight razor***wow***
It does take longer at the start. After a while you can continue to get a good shower and shave in under 15 -20 minutes...depending on how long your shower is. I can do three passes in under 15 minutes. The trick is not to rush or you'll bleed.

Thanked: 22I agree with Mvcrash, I can probably shave with the straight in about 10 - 15 minutes also. However, I tend to 'fuss' over facial preparation, which I always allow about 5 -10 minutes before shaving. I also put the radio on in my bathroom - a habit I started a while ago when my dog went crazy after a squirrel outside and I reacted by digging the razor into my chin. I think all things considered, shaving with the straight takes me about 20 minutes. And, by the way, I timed myself with the double-edge and I shaved in under 3 minutes that way, though admittedly, I was really racing to prove a point.

Thanked: 2Been shaving with a straight razor for about 10 years now, before that was a DE, started with DE in1991 or so, but I still enjoy my morning ritual of warm lather and sharp blade. When I try to explain to people how enjoyable it is, since i'm a barber and talk to guys all day, they dont really understand. But if I get them to try it then they see how starting your day off with some time for yourself with something your now enjoy, that you use to hate, can become something you just cant what to do again tommorrow. Keep on enjoying your shaves, however long it takes.

Thanked: 22Again, I couldn't agree more...that is, hating the previous routine and looking forward to the peace and serenity of using the straight.
