Thanked: 247Shaving with a head cold?
I am struggling with a head cold. As much as I hate to report it, I have lost a lot of enthusiasm for shaving with the addition of this cold. The sense of smell is muted to a whisper, the my sense of touch is about as sharp as the spine of my razor, and the OTC cold meds make standing at the sink less than fun.
Anyone else loose enthusiasm for it when your head feels like a balloon? I still get good shaves (so perhaps this counts as a pass for the old barbers shaving cream balloon test.
I guess it stands to reason that NOTHING seems like much fun when you are sick....
Oddly, I do feel inclined to do some honing...

Thanked: 1195I was sick with a cold a month or so ago. I hadn't shaved in several days and was looking very shaggy. I definitely had the urge to strop up a razor, make some nice warm lather and get to it, until I started sneezing and coughing up a lung again and all of a sudden the thought of having a razor at my neck somehow seemed less appealing. I went back to bed and put my shaving urges to sleep as well
Get well soon.

Usually when I get sick I stop shaving all together. Not sure why, it's just one of those things.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Thanked: 47I agree, I don't shave when I get a bad cold. I really don't do much when I get a bad cold because I want to get better as soon as possible.
Hope you get better soon my friend.

I hope you feel well soon. When I am not feeling well I don't shave. I lay in bed and whine like a little girl (no offense to little girls of which I have a few).

Thanked: 247Well, I found a bit of motivation and shaved today (did not shave yesterday or the day before). I started to get shaky during the second pass...and dangerously so on the third pass (so I stopped). I got a pretty good shave in spite of it all, no cuts but a couple weepers that were halted with a cold rinse.
Back in bed now...

I know what you mean. When I have a cold, I switch to a DE and put the straights aside until the cold passes.
