Thanked: 21Help and guidance finding a small razor if thats what it takes
As im still very very new to the art of SR's I was hoping for a bit of guidance. I currently have an Art of Shaving Dovo SR as do I have about 10 others I've found in the last month.(yes im hooked) Let me step back for a split second, I'm vertically challenged at around 5'5 and weight a buck and change soaking wet with boots on. That said i seem to feel or maybe its because im new that the standard blade length covers 3/4 of one side of my face and that i might be better suited with a shorter blade length. My only option for now is a Dubl Duck that i found that im almost 100% positive someone ground down as its a full 3/4 of an inch shorter then the rest of my razors, not that its a bad thing as i love the size and feel in its new shorter self. My question is do they make a smaller razor, and if so could someone guide me in the right direction to purchase one? im sure once get more comfortable with the smaller size i can then put on my big boy pants and utilize the larger razor(standard length)
As always, thanks in advance for the guidance and wisdom
Christian

Thanked: 3226No idea if there is/was a production razor that was made with that length of blade that you want. How about just taking a high quality razor that you like and have the blade shortened and the scales too to match the blade. The other route would be having a custom made for you.

Robert Williams makes a razor called "the purist"" with a short blade. Kamisori are short.

Thanked: 21Thank you for the lead, his work is incredible. I think I'll have to wait a bit before I go that route as I dont deserve such an amazing piece of work until I can complete at least one full shave, and I'm still wearing training wheels. I keep hearing slow and steady wins the race, so thats the approach im taking. Im trying very very hard to not let my better judgement get in the way of my goal, the perfect shave.

Thanked: 21It looks great, there is one on the bay for $110 obo. just something about the smaller blade leads me to believe id be able to control it better especially with a small face, i feel like the larger blades take up my whole face. Im sure once i get the hang of SR shaving it wont be as much an issue but for now i feel my best option is a smaller blade. And i believe the Dwarf might be the one
