Very warm, but not HOT for me. Like a couple of other mentioned, it hinders the quality of my shave if I overdo the temperature.

I like mine very warm but not super hot too. The hot towels feel like it's burning my skin and makes it all red and irritated. I haven't noticed a difference in the shave between a very warm towel and a very hot towel that burns my hands.

    Default hot towel

the pinaud website says not to use extremely hot towels on your face because it can do damage to the pores in your skin, but I still enjoy the heat.

This is great I was just talking to my wife and sister about hot towel's for your face. I am really interested in getting a hot towel warmer and almost did the other day. I find a hot towel just a great and relaxing time for me. Keep this in mind. To much heat (hot towel) on the face can burn the small capillaries in your face. You will know when that happens as you will see something like small veins on your face.

I like the heat to, but your right, the heat increases the size of the blood vessels in your face, if the get dilated to often, they will stay to large. There are allot of blood vessels in your head, gotta feed that brain.

I gotta try this hot towel treatment one of these days. The closest I've ever come is holding a hot washcloth on my face for around 30 seconds. Somebody posted a link to a modern towel warmer I need to locate that and order me some.

    Regards,
    EL
