Thanks Martin I also found those images & details after Sharptonn informed me of "GAMERX" being a joined name. I have alos found a "GAM" and 1 other "250 GAMerx" Faux MOP celluloid Scales & Solingen inlayed in them on a couple of French & German sights with a bit of Google Translate

    cheers

Kalerolf, When you say the "right edge" are you indicating it is something different to the bevel set by the spine or standard 18º i read about if I use tape
as i have only given it a quick polish & few light passes on my Barbers hone without tape & a quick strop to see how the egde is fairing and it seems like a bit more stropping and it will be shave ready.
the Old boy told me he got it honed by a barber many many years ago when he tried to use it, but never could get the hang of it (problem with the same shakes my Granddad had I think ) mincing his face.
If he had something like SRP to get all the hints etc I'm sure he would have stuck it out.
Does yours have the pin with no wedge set up as well??
    cheers D
