Thanked: 2Wade and Butcher FBU
I have been stalking the bay for a while now trying to get one of these at a price I deem doable and I think that this one was worth it. I can tell its been cleaned up a little by someone but it has a great stamp and essentially no hone wear and I plan on getting it restored anyway. Its a shame the original scales were one chip away from being salvageable but I'm still happy. The razor measures just over 8/8 at its widest point but not quite 9/8.

Thanked: 1185Those washers are not always that easy to save if you take them off. Sometimes the support washers underneath are wasted and you need those to put the thin ones back on top. Look into filling the missing part and save them if you can. Others may say the same :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Sorry to disagree, but those scales look like a redo anyway. And the proportion is out of whack. I would rescale, in horn, with a more traditional shape.
Or go crazy with some modern material for constrast.
