Pretty good haul, I've been to the antique stores around me a few times and the only luck I had was a SE valet razor and a couple other Gillette DE's No straights worthwhile so far.

Id still like to see what was in there before it was cherry picked, it held probably 25-30 razors and there were 7 left....I left a pristine boker and a very nice koch. Yall agree it was a good deal?

Great score. I've mostly found picked-over junk around here.

Here's the deal at most antique-mall type stores in this region (i was in the biz for a short while): unless an item is marked "ND" on the tag (no discount), and it is over a threshold price--usually 20-25 bucks, THEN a 10% discount is _standard operating procedure_ from the marked (not discounted already) price. Always ask (they may hem haw and hesitate, but you'll generally get it). and yes on the higher-priced goods (100 and up), just make reasonable offers*, they can only say "no" or counter-offer. Nothing to lose.

*If you can't make a "reasonable" offer and stand behind it, walk away. Lowballing is obnoxious, just as talking game with no cash is.

I found a barber hone marked 4 times "value" recently (value here being what i had just paid for one 20 miles away, in same setting, which was about "web" price too). I walked away.

Also, if making offers realize that the actual owner of the object may need to be contacted. be patient, they don't make antiques anymore.

5 WB's one store! I've yet to find ONE WB any store.

I'd pay a fraction of that for those, but that's just me. The American Razor is nice but the rest have lots of grinding and pitting and are not in good condition. They'll work fine, but that's a lot to pay for razors in that condition. But value is determined by what the buyer is willing to pay, so if you feel like you got what you wanted for a price you wanted, you got a deal.

Ran into a Guy talking about razors at a local antique store and happens to be he's the one who bought 20+ razors before I got to them and got these leftovers....he said all 20 were wider than these lol.....sad :-( but anyways here's the two I've got ready for the hone!

I still think they were worth the $100 a blade, I've had $100 worth of fun restoring them....American razor needs buffed....should be ready tomorrow!
