Thread: What a nice new strop!

Just received the SRD premiumI strop today. What a nice strop this seems to be.

You are going to come to love that strop. Daily palm rub does amazing things to that top of the line strop.

I got that same one recently too, with the HPW back. Beautiful draw!

I'll do that. I've read that it really helps. But I already like the way its performing. I'm very happy with it.

I don't rub my strop with my palm before every use. Instead I have a can of leather balsam which I rub my finger in and then on the strop once in a while. I think that have worked well but maybe you doesn't need to do it that way. Palm rubbing might be as sufficient.

On the website it says that the prem I strop doesn't need to be rubbed before use, and I agree.

Yes, I've read that these strops don't require any treatment but for the rub down. I'll stick with that for now. I don't use pastes so I didn't get the HPW, just the matched webbing. Should be pretty good.

I agree wonderful strop, strops up there with the best of them in my opinion...YMMV
