Wow. That is an amazing looking blade! The Black Mother of Pearl is my favorite color BLACK but with flair.

Still in progress I'm afraid (having only just got around to it this weekend). Here are some pictures of the work in progress - from raw bone (naturally cleaned and sun bleached for a few weeks) to blanks to shaped and thinned scales. Still have some shaping to do, then it's into the trannic solution and into the natural dye. Trying another pair overnight so will see how those turn out.

So the shape of the scales has come along nicely and I have fashioned a copper-lined horn spacer. All still needing some more fine work but have come to you good sirs for opinions... Based on these photos (bone, copper, dark horn) would you pin in steel or bronze?
I'm leaning towards steel because I feel that copper and bronze clash, visually speaking, but now that I think about copper and steel making contact I'm thinking brass might be a better option with regards corrosion?

Yes, I could see the steel working better, the copper or the bronze could definitely clash, but you never know, if it was a muted down copper or brass rather than shiny, it might work well? But the steel will definitely work.
I'll be honest, the bone scales you have done have definitely inspired me, they look great!

Thanks Dexter, that's a bronze microfastener and the colour combination is growing on me. I'm also in two minds whether to stain the bone darker using a natural dye I used on this pair (again bone, fashioned for a Bruno blade I'm working on):
