    Default Nice surprise!

Some clients of mine took interest in my latest hobby, so one of them surprised me with his old shaving cup and boar brush. Obviously the brush came away from the handle but it was a great gift.

Those Old Spice shaving mugs are becoming quite a collector's item fetching decent bucks, something nice for you to hold on to and treasure.

A little epoxy will reset that knot in no time.

Yeah, I'll be holding on to this one for sure. It's my first "hand-me-down" I guess

That's an awesome gift to get. The old spice mug is my favorite when using puck soap. Enjoy!

And a replacement knot should be anthrax free.

I will admit. I'm afraid to use the brush considering its age and past use.

Give the knot a good, strong Oxyclean bath and use it without the handle, or shoved down in the handle to see if it is good. Bet it is. Looks like badger? You might have a home run with a little adhesive!

It kind of looks like a replacement knot and may not be that old ? Why else would it just fall out like that ? Those are my thoughts when I saw the pic.

I have a couple of old horse hair brushes and luckily no anthrax yet :<0) I do prefer I new knot.

Good point, Pups! The knot looks like it has never been adhered! Sooo obvious!
