I can't say it's less patina but it sure is different. An IXL Washington Works, Sheffild. The tang stamp is very shallow.
It's only a 7/8 and the patina/corrosion has a sort of frosted zinc plating look to it. I haven't decided what to do with mine, I'm not a big fan of the embossed scales. If you leave the steel as is you can join PatinationThan ≠ Then

Thanked: 169I would probably bring that one up to an even satin. The oxidation is not really aesthetic.

Thanked: 169Blade much better than expected. Show scale actually a bit better than expected, rear probably should get a duplicate made off the template of the original at some point. It feels rather stable though.

The cracked scale is very repairable. A bit of superglue and care will fix that right up.
