Falcon saw blades.
I once worked in a shop which made insulation fabricating machinery. The big seller was huge band-saws with a mandrel which had vacuum applied running alongside the blade. We made grinders, saws, rollers, and shears, automated and manual.
Seems the object was to insulate pipes in refineries, so big blocks of stinky insulation could be cut, routed, rounded, applied, and covered with rolled aluminum, wired-on.
ANYHOO, one job I did there was to make band-saw blades with bulk material using a rolling measurement devise and a blade-welder. Interesting stuff. One end went in and was clamped, same as the other. A lever was pulled and the ends came together, sparks flew, and I had a bandsaw blade!
Memory Lane, I suppose! :)
