Cool. I picked up six 6'' sewn cloth wheels off the bay awhile back. I have a polisher out in my garage. I'm waiting on six different greaseless compounds. I need to find some 4" wheels but that will be sometime in the future I hope.
Bruno is a great guy!
It's just a cheap Harbor Freight buffer but it is on a pedestal stand & has the extended shafts. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to build a nicer one but for now I think this will do the job! I also have another idea but it isn't worth mentioning unless it works out. I think Harbor Freight offers two different models but I think I bought the better of the two. I ordered some greaseless compounds from here:
Greaseless Compound Kit - 1 Each 600, 400, 240, 180, 120, 80 Grit Bars - Standard Buffing Compounds - Polishing - Caswell Inc

Proraso Sandalwood pre-shave. Can't wait to try it. I hope this means a corresponding after-shave is a possibility in the near future.
Love my German razors so I threw in an offer on this matched set of Royal Palmer's.
So they are enroute and will be made into a weekend warrior set. Don't look to bad a shape.

Nice razors Mike! You will have a fun afternoon when they arrive those should clean up nicely:)
Having a bit of a cream frenzy (again). Ordered Simpsons café latte (with free sample of their citrus burst) and some samples of Cyril R Salter's French Vetiver and sublime citrus, and some Meissner Tremonia's Pink Grapefruit and Strong n Scottish.
I have one of these on the way:https://www.maggardrazors.com/produc...shaving-brush/ to replace the pos Vander Hagen I have been using. It all of a sudden started spitting out huge clumps of bristles every time I use it. Also have a driver side window regulator for the truck in route too.

You might be able to fix your old brush & have an extra one by getting the old knot out, measure the hole it sits in & buy a new knot at The Golden Nib.
Badger Hair Knots - Wet Shaving
it isn't hard usually but sometimes it is but i'm sure if you find out, you can do it. They are usually glued in. Sometimes you can put the hair knot in a vise & tighten it & it will break the epoxy up & come out. Other times you might have to pull the hair out & use some kind of toll to get the rest of the glue out. I've made a couple & I have removed one knot from a vintage brush but there might be more info here:
The Brushmakers Alcove
Good luck Red!
This stuff!
Coming in next week a Jurgen Hempel Titanium handle with blue anodized finish, I purchased this ready in waiting for my polished Mongoose as I'm on the waiting list I have no idea when it will arrive though.

Well, maybe not in the mail... but on order!
A Nate Zowada shorty straight. 11/16th cut to 2.25". Oh, yeah... with shark bite spine, and African Blackwood scales. :D
In the mail, hopefully a non labelled escher for a not bad price.,

Need to get with someone who has a labelled one to compare once it arrives.
Cheers.
Nice stone Mike. I have 2 Escher from Hatzicho, I think Colin has a couple and I know Phrank has a Labeled one. We just need to get him out to a meet!!
Mike,
I have one about the same color. It was large enough that I had to cut about 1/2" off the end to fit it in a medium size Ardennes Coticule box from SRD.
I was trying to post this about 30 minutes ago but almost every time I upload pics from my camera, I have to reboot to get the pic to come up to upload to this site.

Thanks Andrew, will compare when we GTG. Phrank's labelled one is safely enshrined by now I believe under 2" of transparent aluminum and laser perimeter fencing. ;)
Steve, also appreciate the assessment, cutting yours gave you a nice slurry stone to boot!
The test will be in the post lappin..
Cheers.
So that gixen thing let me down on Saturday when I was bidding on a FBU, but it seemed to work today.
Just got an email that I won this one too. From Owen Sound and clearly an Escher so yea!
Hopefully it comes quick enough to try on one or two of the 7 day Non Xll's I am slowly finishing off.

The rain this weekend gave me some time to work in the shop uninterrupted, cept for beer.
We will have to have a finisher-fest sometime..
Cheers.

I have faithfully used C.O. Bigelow shaving cream in a tube from Bath and Body for over 4 years and I have grown tired of it. So I'm waiting on some Cella and some Proraso Sandalwood Shaving soap.
I have one of the last remaining SRP razors coming!
NOS Hayashi Diamond, 120.
2nd Generation Seiko Monster Dive Watch.

I just got 2 pounds of Cerrobend in the mail today & it is enough to make a lot of wedges. I thought of a different way to make a mold for them & if it works out, I will post!
