I haven't used Saponifico Varesino for a while, it's great stuff though. Keep meaning to get some more but have about 3 years worth of creams/soaps to get through 1st :)
I here you Mark. I stopped buying soaps for maybe 12 months. I used up most of the good stuff and the ordinary soaps were used up in the shower. Got my soap stock way down. Now I can load up again :yQuote:

Yep, I got into soap crazes. Thankfully, some friends sent some samples.... Bought some too. What I did not like, I passed on.
Geez, I think I tossed some old Razorock. three tubs. Half used. Soaps last forever when in a rotation with a few others. Some seem to fade.
May as well use the best. Darry gave me a jar of MDC original in 2011 I think. Lots left, 1/3 jar (glass!}.
A big 'Ice cream bowl} of the stuff is in my cave with a glass dome over it. Hope to live long enough to use it up. Optimistic!
MikeB52 gave me a jar of Argumes a LONG while back. Still half there. Stuff multiplys!
Tc sent a generous sample of Rose years ago. Still rocking.

Stuff is crazy. Looks like a miniature dried-out honeycomb.. A hot water soak brings it alive. I cannot tell I have made a dent? Great lather and scent still.
Only thing I have replaced are Proraso red and green and Trumper's Limes (which is getting closer to finally going in)

150 rds of vintage 25-20 WCF for my model '92 Winchester.
Won them at an auction and got them for a decent price; lower at least than the $2.55 /rd they usually are...MAN, I gotta start reloading!
Looking for something I don't have I came across listings for Rolls Razors. Never really looked at them very seriously but, as I had heard there are still a bunch out there for sale and they range from flawless to trashed, dirt cheap to ridiculous in price. I looked at a bunch of them and landed on this one which seemed the best balance of condition and price.

The strop and hone look to be lightly if ever used from what I can tell. Of course I still don't really know what I'm looking at. I guess I'll know better when it arrives.

Never used or even done more than glanced at one in person but it seems an interesting idea and clever design.
Looks like a nice one and honed up they do shave well.
