I have one of these on the way:https://www.maggardrazors.com/produc...shaving-brush/ to replace the pos Vander Hagen I have been using. It all of a sudden started spitting out huge clumps of bristles every time I use it. Also have a driver side window regulator for the truck in route too.

You might be able to fix your old brush & have an extra one by getting the old knot out, measure the hole it sits in & buy a new knot at The Golden Nib.

Badger Hair Knots - Wet Shaving

it isn't hard usually but sometimes it is but i'm sure if you find out, you can do it. They are usually glued in. Sometimes you can put the hair knot in a vise & tighten it & it will break the epoxy up & come out. Other times you might have to pull the hair out & use some kind of toll to get the rest of the glue out. I've made a couple & I have removed one knot from a vintage brush but there might be more info here:

    The Brushmakers Alcove

    Good luck Red!

Good idea! never thought about replacing it. Just figured it was a cheepo brush and wasn't worth it. However, the handle and the stand fit together perfectly, so maybe it is worth it. Either way thanks for the info.

Coming in next week a Jurgen Hempel Titanium handle with blue anodized finish, I purchased this ready in waiting for my polished Mongoose as I'm on the waiting list I have no idea when it will arrive though.

Well, maybe not in the mail... but on order!

A Nate Zowada shorty straight. 11/16th cut to 2.25". Oh, yeah... with shark bite spine, and African Blackwood scales.
