Default Joseph Rodgers, lust at first sight.

When I first saw this on ebay, I knew I had to possess it, and amazingly, I won the auction.
This maker has been at the top of my razor bucket list for as long as I can remember.
It's 6/8", cream celluloid scales and a lead spacer. A shade under AUD$100.00.

Nice. I've felt that way about a NOS crown and sword that I've been eyeballing for a while now....well, today it's on it's way!

Palmeira is a Portugese word for Arecaceae which translates into English as palm tree or palm........Palm Razor ?

There are also several places named but I can't see a connection.

I suppose it could be a high end hotel name.

It's also spelt Palmera, which is Spanish for, you guessed it, palm tree.
Spelt this way it's the name of a Spanish straight razor manufacturer as well ?

Joseph Rodgers & Sons have been on the top of my list for a long time. Have yet to find anything that has given me a better, smoother, irritation free shave. I like them so well I won't part with one and have 10 in my collection/rotation....enjoy!
