Well, that's been an interesting couple of days here at Casa de RAD. What started off with punishing heat has graduated to rampaging wildfires. So far I'm safe and sound, but we've got fires ... basically everywhere. Last count was, I think, ten. Ten different fires.

But anyway, razors!

The 'Refined Steel' is just that. It was a generic razor and it didn't ever have a brand on it. A pretty common thing around 1800 or so, actually. I've got another, in travel-razor size, with the same stamp and lack of branding. I'd wanted a razor in that pressed horn pattern since I first saw one, and this one was un-pass-up-able.

That's right you're in San Diego. Glad you're ok. If you do have to evacuate, grab the razors!

Earlier this evening I gathered up all the loose ones and put them in my big razor trunk so it can go at a moment's notice.

I shot a little video this morning. Things were a good deal worse by evening, but all the fires are still miles away from me.
