Thread: Newbie still trying what do you all think

You are spot on , Facial feedback shows a closer shave. Been to the Library, reading, Hardest part is learning to properly hone that kind. I tried to group the smiles together during honing so as to retain the muscle memory, then I went to a regular straight and that threw my muscle memory for a loop.Caught myself using the smile hand motion on a non smiling blade and had to stop and redo that pyramid set. I did find the Sharpie along the cutting edge to be my best tutor. You have any other tips that could help honing this type??
