Thanked: 169I just gave it a trip across my new mystery finisher that you can see in the hones section. It's at a pretty crazy hht 5 just like the last razor I fed it.

That worked perfectly. I hit take screenshot & it is the same size. I guess I could have done that with others but I like this one best!

Thanked: 169Just gave it a go. This is a fabulous razor. For all of its size, it doesn't feel big or clumsy at all. Thankfully, no microchipping of the blade at the toe during the shave so all seems well with the steel. The edge was bordering on scary levels of keen. I used http://straightrazorpalace.com/hones...quisition.html to finish this on vs a coti like I normally do with this type of steel as I had two new things I wanted to test. I think when the edge starts dropping off, I will put a coti finish on this guy, and use this finisher some some german blades I have. Some new scales may be in order for this one as well.

Thanked: 169The majority of my blades are sheffields, but I tend to set them up to be quite sharp, yet mellow in feel with cotis and use their extra meat to carry the day.
