Thanked: 884Other than being unsightly, the scratches won't affect the shave. If you're willing to invest some time and lot of elbow grease you can remove those scratches by hand starting with 400 grit and working your way up to whatever shine you desire, or you can send it out to one of the pro's and let them use their expertise and power tools to bring it up the shine you desire.
I've got a few with scratches like that. They appear to me to be from running off the end of the hone. They shave great, just don't look so pretty.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
