Tim is a Great Guy and his work is out of this World and the Edge he puts on His blades is something else I only wished he honed for the public.

A classic that will stand the test of time. Congratulations. Can you post a picture of all three of your Zowanda custom razors when you get an opportunity. I'm starting to dream. Thanks.

I ask Tim for Bits and pieces from the different steps so I could make a shadow box to show people how my razor was made here are some picture of the pieces taken with my phone. Tim made it really simple to understand. First you take sand part (A1)filter it and you have black sand left part (A2)which is smelted and ends up with (A3)the Bloom which Tim turns into (A4)Timanagane. Then Comes part (B1)Campo del Cielo Meterorite which slammed into Argentina some 50,000 years ago. That Tim turned into part (B2)Laminated Meteorite Name: image.jpg

Size: 22.5 KBThe final Blade is piece C1 with A3 welded on for the cutting edge. Now I will try and take some pictures of the finished Razor

Interesting story and beautiful razor. Tim Zowada's razors are on my top list since a long time now. I think I will order from him one sooner or later.

He takes sand and smelts it into Timanagane we will call it part "A"
Then he takes Meteorite pieces heats them and shapes them into metal bars that we will call part "B"
He then took them and stacked them ABABA heated them smashed them together folded twisted and what ever else has to be done to acheve the pattern you want then it's ground and honed stropped and dressed in a set of scales and a Razor is born

That's really cool. The two most prestigious steels (I think) folded together. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it? The timahagane and meteorite razors I've seen were about $2300 each.
