    Default My Tim Zowada Custom

A little over a year ago I contacted Tim about making a Custom Razor. I wanted something different. I had read and seen where Tim had made Bloomery Steel out of Black Sand he gathered from a beach on one of the Great Lakes in Michigan and he also had made Damascus with Meterorite. I ask Tim to make a Razor with Bloomery Steel "Timanagane" and Meteroite Tim told me he had wanted to make a razor with these two components for something but had never done it. I decided that I wanted a 6/8 with a Spanish Point and Ivory scales. Tim told me what it would cost and how long it would take to complete my razor so I began the wait. Well not long after Tim has a Motorcycle accident and Broke his ribs. I don't know if any of you have broken any ribs but it hurts terribly bad and takes a while to heal. While Tim is recovering he makes the 2H2H razors I have one of the Prototypes and it's a sweet shaving Razor. As Tim recovered from his accident he starts on my razor he send me pictures of the process if you want to see the pictures go to Tim's FACE BOOK page he documented the process there. As he gets closer to completion off this beautiful razor I ask him if he could send me pieces metal from the different steps I am making a shadow box to put them in. When I tell people how the razor was made they don't understand so now I can show them and they understand. On the 14th of Aug. FedEx delivered the Razor to me. I have had the razor for 4 days now and have shaved with it twice and if you have never shaved with a Tim Zowada Razor then you are missing out, not only can he make a Great Looking Razor that holds a edge that lasts. I now have 3 razors made by Tim and love them. I haven't had time to take any good Pictures I plan on it really soon

I love it, it's a beauty!!!!! I ride & I fractured my pelvis, fractured my back near some metal already in it, broke 3 ribs & collapsed my left lung a year ago so I know what it feels like to be in that type of pain. They even had a tube going in my lung to drain fluids out of it & that was even more painful. I'm so glad I'm feeling better now. I can still feel the ribs that were broken when I deeply inhale. There are two kinds of riders.......those that have been down & those that are going down. It will happen sooner or later. I've been down a few times but I dust myself off, & get back on & go again. But back to the razor, it is a work of art & I'd love to have one myself. You have a one of a kind my friend. I want one.

That razor really looks classy and superb. Real craftmanship.
Is it me or does it show the damascus look more on Zowada's fb?
Guess it will be the lighting.

You can see it better on Tim's FB page that's one reason I haven't posted any pictures, it look a lot better in person than in pictures the scales are ivory and it's the most beautiful ivory I've seen and the details in the blade and scales and the pieces that Tim sent me can't be seen very well in the pictures I have taken I am no photographer so I am going to try and get some better pic tomorrow

Now that's a "Custom Razor". Very nice indeed!! I have an "off the rack" Zowada carbon series that I like quite a bit. Damn Skippy-Tim Zowada surely knows how to make a razor.

I'm doing the waiting game for a Brian Brown razor which I am told might be up for manufacture sometime next Spring. Haven't even discussed the design with Mr. Brown yet, been thinking about it though. No worries.....Patience is a virtue I'm told.

The wait is well worth it and I will do it again soon I really like Tim's Razors I also have one of his "Carbon Series" Razors. Everyone should have a chance to shave with a Tim Zowada Razor I really like the 3 that I have.
