You can make the best out of it. Also use it as a learning experience. We all have them. I would not have glen restore it but just hone it. I'm sure it will shave fine

The pictures show significant hone wear on the Greaves, especially drastically toward the toe. It will take some work to hone but can be made better with regrinding. If the seller has questions disabled, I simply pass on the item - if you can't get the information, it's not worth it. A description of "good" I would think would protect the seller as it is completely subjective, but I don't know how ebay handles it as they often tend to side with the buyer.
However, the moral from my perspective is simple (IMHO) - if you are not 100% sure of a listing before you bid, it is all on you; when you take a risk sometimes you win, sometimes you lose; you can always walk away before bidding. Hone wear is not something the layman is necessarily knowledgeable about.
