Great find! A nice soak in some neatsfoot oil will do wonders for the horn scales.

From the photos its scales look okay - if I were you (assuming I'm not missing anything) I'd try to salvage them. I love the old horn and it sands and polishes up very nicely in my experience.

the show side of the scales is perfect, but the back side that you don't see is all chipped up around the edges. i am also a fan of the original horn, so i would love to find another original side or just a set of old horn scales that would fit this razor. the other thing i'd consider is make new scales out of feathered horn, which i am also a fan of.

i've been seeing them on this forum every once in a while and have been looking for one. it looks like a full hollow, so it should be pretty nice to shave with.
