Tell people you like razors!

My wife and I Like to go over with our children to see my mother and stepfather, we like to go over weekly and have a cup of tea and a few sandwiches, and I just happened to mention that I had taken a keen interest in straight razors, my mother looked over to me with interest and said “cut throat razors?”
This is how the conversation went:
Mother: Have I ever showed you your grandfather’s razors?
Me: what razors
Mother: your grandfather’s razors
Me: No, what razors
Mother: There in a box
Me: Go get them
Mother: There is four or them in a box
Me: Go get them
Mother: I think he used them in the war
Me: Go get the razors
Mother: I think there is a safety razor up there too?
Me: Please mum, go and get the razors
Stepfather: I have some straight razors upstairs as well, they were my grandfather’s
Me: PLEASE GO GET THE RAZORS!!!!


Needless to say, 30 minutes later I’m on the way home with some new additions to the collection and a very very big smile! Yes I can accept there is some cleaning up to be done, but very happy with my new gifts.
