Shumate Dollar
Just picked this one up on Ebay. It doesn't appear to be in horrible shape, and it apparently has the wrong box with it. I bought it mainly because it was made in St. Louis (guessing prior to 1920?). I may have it restored, depending on what shape it's in. Nevertheless, to me it's a collector's item.

Nice razor GonzoBean.
Now you need to find razors from Simmons and Shapleigh.

Great score. Like previously mentioned it is nice too see something made in our country from back in the day. I would restore it but keep it old also. I only have a couple myself & I love them. They are great razors. I scored a Genco on the bay a week ago & still waiting on it. It is not far from new & I won it for $11.50 including a fold up case. Item # 181550025785. I can't wait to get it, anyday now! I have a Shumate from when they were first made in Austin, TX. Those are very hard to find. Most of them are from St. Louis. I keep looking for more from Austin being a Texan myself but they are rare! Please post some pics if you decide to restore it. I'm very interested in seeing it after!

Wouldn't you know it! Thanks to you I decided to look for a Shumate made in Austin & one was on here for best offer so I made the offer & won it. It isn't the best looking one out there but who cares, the Austin ones are very hard to find if you ask me. Fantastic Shumate Dollar, you made a hell of a deal even though I don't know what it ran you but I love it. Keep up the good work. You'll have RAD if you don't have it already!

Great to see you found a 'Texan!' I just happened on mine (I usually do a search, then sort them by what's ending soonest). I got it for $11.00. From what I can tell by the pictures, I can probably do most of the restoration myself with a buffing wheel and polishing compound. Will definitely post pics of before and after.
Thanks for the comments,
Jeff
