Thanked: 1184THis is encouraging. I have a pile of ugly :<0) They are tools, and some just look better than others. IF they work, you have a great tool.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I got a old beat up Leader that is the same way. Something special about a ugly beat up razor that shaves so well. It's almost like it has something to prove and isn't ready to die.

Thanked: 43Ugly is in the eye of the beholder?
I have several old straights that have "exceptional character".
Some of them have scales that are wired, wound with thread or string, or even repaired with surgical tape. I just leave the old repairs as I found them. I appreciate the idea that the old razor had proven its value as the previous owner beleived it was worth repairing.
I have not been disapointed in the shaves from these "character" razors.
I think having a humble character was much more common in days of old.
Our politicians ( I am thinking of a very high ranking one in particular) would be much better off if they would "humble up".

Thanked: 220I like the overall look of it, especially the scales! And if it shaves great, then you've got an all around gem! Not ugly at all.
