Do you ever notice these sellers who have a 7 day set, or a boxed hone, and they put more pix of the box in the listing than the razors or the hone ....

Anyway, that is a nice Charnley. Has the colors and though it is smaller than many I've seen, it is what I consider an ideal size for honing razors. A lot of guys like to use them with oil or a dab of dish soap. IIRC they are the same stuff that Arkansas are made of. The name of which escapes me at this moment ...... I'll probably remember it in an hour or so ....... My brain is getting to be like a dial up nowadays ....... if you're old enough to know what I mean.

They truly are very petty stones.

Thanks guys. I have heard a lot about them so I thought i'd try one. I'm waiting on a 1K Chosera & that's gonna be it for stones i think. If I had the money, I'd upgrade to all Chosera's instead of my regular Naniwa's.

I love the one I own. Picked it up from the UK after trying Colin's at the first GTG I attended.
Made for British steel IMO. Great finisher with oil.
    Enjoy and share your results..

I like the muted design of the table top. The stone is grey.
