Marshes & Shepherd Ponds Works
I acquired this one recently, a Marshes & Shepherd Ponds Works. I don't know what it is about straight scales that catches my eye but I love them. This one has a rather unique tail on it.

I thought about it. I'm building a Frederick Reynolds from spare parts right now. I forgot to take before pics of the scales but I have another two sets just like them which someone scratched their initials on & I went through sandpaper progressions to get them out & polished them up. I also needed to make a thicker wedge for it which I already had an original vintage wedge I just had to file down a bit. I will be showing it soon in the Razor section. I love to restore them to what they looked like back then w/o having to make a new set of scales but it always doesn't work out that way. I just got lucky & found someone selling about ten sets of old scales & they have come in handy on this one so far & the others will come in handy in the future.
