Grandpa's straight razor
Hello everyone!
I am a new at straight razor shaving. I started to shave with it two weeks ago and want to say that it's absolutely amazing! I bought nice old straight razor "The Torrey razor Co" Worcester for about 23 usd and it's just great for me. But today I've found my grandpa's straight razor! I remember when i was very young, I saw how my grandpa shaving with this razor and I always want to try it. Ah, what a nice memories...
Anyway, I can't identify which company is this razor. Can you help me please? Here some photos (sorry for bad quality, i will try to make another photos tomorrow with day light):
It's only "Best Hollow Ground. Made in Germay" from one side, and "P.N. No 4" from another.
Also, as I know (and my Mom told me), he brought this razor from Germany after World War 2. I don't know if that true or not. Unfortunately he passed away long time ago.

Oh, I'm sorry. I missed that. I must have over looked the fact that you already have another straight. I was still half asleep & waking up when I read the thread.
The Torrey is a good straight razor. You didn't go wrong with that one. Just learn to strop for now. You can practice with a butter knife on an old wide leather belt if you have one. It helps you from cutting your good strop. My bad for not noticing you had another straight & the other things to go with it.

I hope so :-)
Thanks again, I will practice with my multitool knife and old leather belt!
I don't know, but google gave me pics of "French point" and they look pretty close to my grandpa's razor
