You don't see real mahogany in any thickness very often these days!!! About 20 or so years ago, i saw a custom dining room table made from that flamed cuban mahogany that the maker has hidden away in his secret stash. he only had enough to make one leaf instead of the normal two and the table cost about as much as a new car!!!! I have three pieces made from that wood from the late 1800's and early 1900's. The two English pieces have marquetry, but none have that kind of figured wood.
