Thanked: 315Never seen one like that before. Very nice. I really like the box too. I've wondered why there isn't something like being manufactured for razor collectors. Your mostly stuck with the old cases or box for several razors. The wood and diagonal seam look really good. There isn't any lining in it is there?

Thanked: 1184I really don't think it needs a lining :<0) I have 2 of the old salesman's boxes and they aren't lined.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 315It guess it wouldn't matter if it was taped, but how does the softer brass wear compared to steel? Agreed, doesn't really need it. Maybe if it was for traveling. Thought I would check since I couldn't see the inside of the box and I remember some members mentioning making some felt lined razor boxes.
I missed his post about using rosewood. I thought it reminded me of rosewood fingerboards, but I wasn't sure if that was what it was. Great choice for a box like that.
