Size: 29.1 KBReally don't know much about the name but it's a Solingen razor hollow ground. theres a little chip in the edge really doesn't amount to much and a little surface rust. the scales are in good shape. I was able to win it for very little and when it arrived it was just like the photos. I really don't know but don't think it had ever been honed since it left the manufacture. The bay if you watch is a good place to find this kind of razor . you know the kind to play with and learn honing or to practice the honing. The surface rust was just that and polish up ok. the nick honed out in just a few minutes and after watching my friend hone and learning where I went wrong with another razor I was able to hone this one to a shave ready condition in not really to much time. I used it today and it did shave good. Just goes to show you your not to old to learn if you pay attention and practice. these are the eBay photos. The razor now looks basicly the same with out the nick and surface rust. The blade is 13/16. I know I really can't keep all the ones I play with but this one I think I will.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I have a few Sheffield's that are heavier blades and I have honed them and shave with them but it seems like the thin blades are easier for me to hone and bring to a shaving edge.

The thinner grinds are a lot easier learn to hone with because they are so consistent and they hone quickly. The sheffields usually take longer and require more attention to detail.
