    Got it sharp enough to shave with. Still needs a little more work, to deliver a GOOD shave, but I was able to shave my neck beard which is easily the hardest part to shave, and the tops of my cheeks above my mutton chops.

    As long as the scales are strong, I would leave it like that for now. I have one with a crack right at the wedge but it is ok & I shave with it that way. I'm afraid if I were to disassemble it & fill in the crack with something, it would just crack again & maybe worse when pinning it back together. I could be wrong though. A crack is a crack & I don't think it would look an better than it is. If the scale was broken in two pieces, I would put it back together with CA & sand it back down, then polish it. I have done it with bakelite scales & made them look like they were never broken.
