Yuma Safety Razor
Hey guys,
Here's a Yuma safety razor that got smuggled in from Turkey by one of our Pinaud operatives. I used her today loaded with a Shark DE blade. I used C.O.Bigelow, as it provides a good cushion. The razor is apparently an economy razor for about $3.00. I had two days growth & did 2 WTG passes & one ATG pass. I could actually hear the blade as it cut through the whiskers,,, something I had never heard with my Gillettes. The shave was O.K. ,,,maybe good, but the ATG pass was not as close as my Gillettes.
It was a pleasure to try.
Be sure to position the blade correctly when putting it in. This razor does not seat the blades as correctly/easily as the Gillettes. Once seated correctly, the razor will give you a good shave. I would suggest a DE blade that is mild in its performance, like the Shark,,, I would not use this razor with a Feather,, maybe it would be O.K., but I don't need to find out.
Thanks Geezer,,

Customs never noticed the Yuma, as it was hidden underneath a vintage Pinaud bottle,,
