Thanked: 5My first Warrented Stubtail
Just received my first Warrented Stubtail in the mail. I'm a sucker for a smiling edge.
The second photo is reversed.Last edited by Walrus76; 11-09-2015 at 11:40 PM.

Thanked: 636Isn't it a good feeling to shave with a razor that is 200 years old?

Thanked: 0I've had a WARRANTED razor for a few months I've been totally ignorant about. Does this qualify as a warranted stubtail? I apologize if it seems like I'm hijacking your thread!

Gimp Image Editor fixed that
Probably a late stub-tail. Those broken scales are Boker (tree brand) and not original to your blade. I say late because note the difference between yours having a distinct separation between the cutting edge and the tang, while the one in the original post hasn't got that distinction. It is probably late 1700s, yours might be early 1800s. Only reason I think yours is a 'stub tail' is where the hole for the pivot is relative to the end of the monkey tail. IMHO.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
