    Default C-Mon Haul

Found a local seller with a few Monkhouse razors for sale. I usually only go for English big steel, but I couldn't pass this up.

5/8 Filarmonica 747 Doble Temple labled as C-Mon rather than the usual Jose Montserrat Pou.

    6/8 C-Mon Blackie

Seller also threw in a vintage horsehide/linen strop, brush, mug, and hone(details unknown on hone)
    All items are NOS

I can't find much info on the C-Mon Filly other than its pretty rare. Any info would be appreciated.

The C-mon Blackie looks like a beauty.

Was thinking the same thing. Both look to be in very nice condition. I'd have a hard time turning them down too, congrats.

It was one of those once in a lifetime prices. Picture buying razors before the collector boom happened...and then subtract some.

I always told myself I'd never buy a Filly because of the hype. And there are as many of those out there as Durham Duplex lol. But the C-Mon rarity definitely made it a no brainier.

Completely agree. I've only owned one C-Mon, but it was too damaged to bring back to life. I'm really excited to put this in the rotation and see if it lives up to its reputation.

Yup, I think Fillies are hyped too but they do shave well. WRT the C-Mon marking it would be interesting to know if they were the sole importers to the US for fillies at one time.
